VCD-GV Series volume control dampers with parallel or opposed blade operation having single skin blade design. These dampers are subjected to medium pressure applications to achieve efficient and friction free operation. The type VCD’s are designed for handling maximum air capacities at minimum pressure drop.

COSMOS control dampers utilize a 150mm x 30mm Cchannel frame made of min.20 gauge (1.0mm) galvanized steel Any combination of 100mm, 125mm and 150mm blade widths are used in a single damper.
3V groove blades are fabricated from min.20 gauge (1 mm) galvanized steel, incorporating three longitudinal V-type grooves running the full length of the blade to increase strength. This blade is standard on damper models VCD-GV series, designed for velocity and pressure applications. COSMOS control dampers have blade linkages constructed from steel , concealed in the frame to prevent additional pressure drop and unwanted noise.
Standard Construction
● Frame: 6″ x 1″x 18 gauge (150 x 30 x1.2 mm) thick roll formed galvanized steel ‘C’ channel.
● Blades: 5″(125) or 6″ (150 mm) wide, min.1. mm (20 gauge) thick galvanized steel 3V type roll formed.
● Bushes: Double Nylon bushes for friction free operation.
● Mechanical Linkage: Galvanized steel linkages concealed within the frame.
● Axles: 12 mm square galvanized steel.
● Quadrant: Heavy gauge galvanized steel with position.
Increments of 50 mm in width & height possible with combination of 100 mm& 150mm blade width.
Maximum single module size is 1200×1000 mm.
Damper Width more than 1200 mm or Height more than 1000 mm is provided with a partition.
