VCD-GA Series volume control dampers are square and rectangular type with parallel or opposed blade operation having Aerofoil double skin blade design. These dampers are subjected to medium pressure applications to acheive efficient and uniform air distribution. These VCD’s are designed for handling maximum air capacities at minimum pressure drop.

COSMOS control dampers utilize a 150mm x 30mm C-channel frame made of min.20 gauge (1.0mm) galvanized steel Any combination of 100mm, 125mm and 150mm blade widths are used in a single damper. Airfoil blades are constructed of double-skin galvanized steel, heavy-gauge extruded aluminum as optional. This blade design results in lower resistance to airflow and increased strength that is typically used in high pressure systems. Aerofoil blades are standard on damper models. COSMOS control dampers have blade linkages constructed from steel, concealed in the frame to prevent additional pressure drop and unwanted noise.
Standard Construction
● Frame: 6″ x 1″x 18 gauge (150 x 30 x1.2 mm) thick roll formed galvanized steel ‘C’ channel.
● Blades: 5″(125) or 6″ (150 mm) wide, min.1. mm (24 gauge) thick double skin galvanize steel aerofoil type & aluminum aerofoil as an option
● Gasket: : Neoprene / foam gasket for Low leakage application
● Bushes: Double Nylon bushes for friction free operation.
● Mechanical Linkage: Galvanized steel linkages concealed within the frame.
● Axles: 12 mm square galvanized steel.
● Quadrant: Heavy gauge galvanized steel with position.
Increments of 50 mm in width & height possible with combination of 100 mm& 150mm blade width.
Maximum single module size is 1200×1000 mm.
Damper Width more than 1200 mm or Height more than 1000 mm is provided with a partition.
