Linear slot diffusers are always considered as the most attractive air distribution devices. At a perfect setting, linear slot diffusers provide a stable pattern of diffusion to produce an optimum performance for both supply and return air in addition to their pleasant appearance.
COSMOS Linear slot diffusers have been developed to satisfy architectural and engineering applications that require a continuous length appearance, aesthetically pleasing design and high engineering performance.
Slot diffuser models NSD-50, NSD-75 and NSD-100 are designed to give a comprehensive and full range of air flow patterns and volumes.
COSMOS Linear Slot Diffusers are designed for installation in the ceiling, sidewall or sill and are recommended for supplying ventilated or cooled air and for returning or exhausting room air.
Air pattern directional changes through 180° are effected by the integral “Uniflex” combination pattern and volume controller, permitting pattern adjustment to meet changing requirements.
When installed in the ceiling, COSMOS Slot Diffusers provide a horizontal air path that is adjustable through 180° in each slot opening. One to Eight slot Diffusers can be adjusted to provide oneway or two-way air patterns by directing the controller as required to either side. Vertical downward air pattern can be adjusted from all slots. A combination horizontal pattern and vertical down pattern can be effected from a two \(or more) slot diffuser.
Construction
COSMOS Slot Diffusers are fabricated of high grade Aluminium extrusions. The pattern controller is coated black to accent the slot opening. Components are mechanically interlocked together for a defect free appearance. Ninety degree mitered corner sections are furnished in one piece. Concealed mounting brackets fit in a duct collar to positively hold the diffuser in ceiling and sidewall installations.
COSMOS Slot Diffusers used for return or exhaust air are identical to supply sections except the pattern controller is removed to increase air capacity.
